Webb to join Obama in Virginia today

Thu Jun 05, 2008 at 06:11:16 AM PDT

Webb will be joining Obama in Virginia today in Bristow Virginia.  I have a feeling that he will formally endorse Obama as well.  Earlier in the day at Bristol, Virginia, Obama will be joined by Mark Warner and Tim Kaine.

All 3 of these Virginia boys are considered by the media to be potential VP choices for Obama.  Now that the Obama campaign has tried to bat away notions of Hillary being the Vice President with that WSJ article, Obama will feel less pressure to take Hillary.  As a result, the media will once again go back into "find the VP" mode.

Well let the buzz of the Virginia boys BEGIN.

Me personally I am not totally opposed to Hillary as the VP.  I think it could unite the party and we would win in the Fall.  However, governing in the oval office would be very tricky so in all Hillary may not be the best choice for Obama.

Thus the hunt for a Vice President in the media eyes is going to begin and it will begin today since Obama is going to Virginia today.

Obama will be meeting with future Senator/ex-governor Mark Warner and current governor Tim Kaine earlier in the day at Bristol, Virginia.  Later in the day Obama will be endorsed by Senator Webb in Bristow, Virginia.  That should be a great rally because those 2 can hit McCain on Iraq and the GI bill.

All 3 of these Virginia boys are under consideration for the VP slot.  Of the 3, Mark Warner is the one that would most likely help Obama get that state.  However, Mark Warner is a sure shot to win the Senate so I would cross him on the VP list.  That leaves Tim Kaine and Jim Webb.  They both have pluses and minuses as potential VP's.

The good thing about this move by the Obama campaign is to get off this talk of "will Hillary be the VP?" and instead to "who really SHOULD be Obama's VP?".

Bring on the discussion!!!
