NEW: Obama memo: Obama leading, McCain following

Sat Jul 19, 2008 at 11:51:25 AM PDT

We have all noticed that Obama has been leading on very important foreign policy proposals lately and not only is McCain following but so is Bush.  From Iraq withdrawal, to Iran nuclear talks, to Afghanistan increase troop support, etc, Obama has been leading the charge and slowing the media is catching on.

Well the Obama campaign has finally released a memo stating just that.

It's the Ground Game, Stupid! (& Obama's winning!)

Tue Jul 15, 2008 at 09:17:24 AM PDT

James Carville is famous for his line "It's the economy, stupid" when running Bill Clinton's campaign for president.  Other pundits have proclaimed that if the country doesn't see a candidate as a potential commander-in-chief than the country will not be receptive to a candidate's various positions.  That candidate doesn't appear to be credible.  In this election (like many others) both are true.

However, the conventional wisdom is that elections are won on the ground.  If the message is there but the ground game stinks, than the voters will not be voting even if they agree with the candidate for they won't make it to the polls.

Well according to many recent articles the Obama campaign is really focusing on the ground game.  And more importantly, the Obama campaign is winning that war as we speak.

Upcoming pentagon report: Iraq Withdrawal <16 months!

Sat Jul 12, 2008 at 08:44:22 PM PDT

As we all know Obama has been taken heat by the MSM and the McCain campaign for saying that he would "refine" his Iaq policy after visiting Iraq.  However, Obama is sticking with his plan of withdrawing 1 to 2 brigades per month to try to get all combat forces out of Iraq in 16 months taking into account what is happening on the ground as well as the Iraqi government themselves who want a timetable for withdrawal.

Well according to Newsweek in the next month there will be a forthcoming Pentagon-sponsored report that will recommend and even STEEPER DRAW DOWN IN LESS TIME.

I smell a real debate going to be happening in the Fall on the Iraq War and Obama will be the victor.

LA Times: McCain's adultery may be a problem

Fri Jul 11, 2008 at 03:35:15 AM PDT

The LA Times printed a doozie of an article today about McCain's infidelity.  It discussed how the "nature and timing of his divorce" from his first wife Carol Shepp may have aliented McCain's key allies ie Nancy Reagan.  But it is the reality that McCain's version of the events of his first marriage does not add up when you look at court documents that makes this story concerning for McCain.

Well let's dig deeper on what those versions were.

NYT ENDORSES OBAMA! (sort of)

Thu Jul 03, 2008 at 03:13:28 AM PDT

The NYT has an EYE OPENING editorial called "Supreme Court on the Brink".

http://www.nytimes.com/...

It basically says what many of us have been thinking but it really sinks in once you really think about it.

The next president will determine which direction the supreme court will go.  It will either remain essentially a 5 to 4 court that can swing either way or it will become an extremist right wing court.

It's time to really get serious about this election.  Check out the NYT editorial about the Supreme Court.  The NYT essentially "endorses" Obama.

McCain Jokes About Beating Wife!

Fri Jun 27, 2008 at 05:34:54 AM PDT

McCain is a walking gaffe machine.  Everybody knows it.  From confusing Shia with Sunni to saying that ending the Iraq War isn't "too important".

Well McCain made a stupid joke recently when he gave an interview to the Las Vegas Sun.

Check it out.

The Truth about McCain & Women: Devastating!

Sun Jun 15, 2008 at 05:16:14 AM PDT

As we all know, McCain is trying to try court Hillary supporters and women in general by trying to portray himself as this "maverick" and "moderate".  But the truth is that McCain has an absolutely HORRIBLE record on women's issues.

Furthermore in terms of Hillary supporters, many of them do not know that McCain only a few years ago told an absolutely unforgiveable joke about Hillary's family because he attacked Chelsea Clinton when no politician should attack a candidate's child.  He made an extremely crude sexual joke about Hillary, Chelsea Clinton, and Janet Reno.  He said "Chelsea Clinton is so ugly that her fatehr is Janet Reno".  Disgusting man.  http://www.salon.com/...

Well it's time to pull back the facade that is known as "John McCain" on women's issues.  Sit back and learn the truth.

Webb to join Obama in Virginia today

Thu Jun 05, 2008 at 06:11:16 AM PDT

Webb will be joining Obama in Virginia today in Bristow Virginia.  I have a feeling that he will formally endorse Obama as well.  Earlier in the day at Bristol, Virginia, Obama will be joined by Mark Warner and Tim Kaine.

All 3 of these Virginia boys are considered by the media to be potential VP choices for Obama.  Now that the Obama campaign has tried to bat away notions of Hillary being the Vice President with that WSJ article, Obama will feel less pressure to take Hillary.  As a result, the media will once again go back into "find the VP" mode.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/...

Well let the buzz of the Virginia boys BEGIN.

Strickland Emphatic in Refusing Run for Vice President

Wed May 14, 2008 at 06:12:39 AM PDT

Well we can all strike Strickland OFF the list for a possible Vice Presidential candidate.  I thought that Strickland would be a great choice for he would help bridge the Hillary and Obama camps for the Fall and he would help to win Ohio for the Fall.

Well he has now refused the VP offer whether it is Hillary or Obama.

Obama's New Approach: American Family Man

Sun May 04, 2008 at 03:22:00 PM PDT

As we all know, Clinton and McCain have been attacking Obama on his character (with the help of the MSM and Wright).  If one compared Obama's policy positions vs McCain there would be NO CONTEST.  Obama would win this contest hands down.  McCain knows that and the GOP knows that so instead they will be going after Obama the person rather than his policies.  (They do this at EVERY election that is why Dems lose even if our policies are better).

Hillary, on the other hand, is also going after Obama the person.  Besides her bogus gas tax holiday, there isn't much difference between Hillary and Obama in terms of policy.  We all know that Hillary's character is...well we all know what it is so she herself is trying to attack Obama's character to bring him down to her level.

How does Obama respond? His campaign will be focusing on his "American Family Man" persona.

SHOCKER:  I agree with Karl Rove's advice to Obama!

Sun Apr 27, 2008 at 04:38:20 AM PDT

I never thought there would come a day when I was looking forward to an Obama interview on FOX news.  I HATE Fox news and I never wanted any Dem to legitimize it by going on the show but after reading what Chris Wallace said about Obama's 30 minute interview that it was a very friendly interview in which moderates and conservatives would be very interested in hearing what Obama had to say, than I know Obama did well in the interview.  The fact that the ONLY headline that FOX got out of the interview was that Obama decided on no more debates tells me that there wasn't any major gaffes that occurred in that interview or else we would have heard about it 24/7 by now on cable news channels. Sounds like Obama did well.

Well, I just read an article in NEWSWEEK written by Karl Rove in which he gives advice to Obama.  Well, I have to say that I actually agree with him on many things.  SHOCKER!  Never did I think that there would come a day in which I am looking forward to Obama's interview on FOX and that I would actually agree with Karl Rove.  Pigs must be flying...LOL!

Clyburn warns Dems:  African-Americans Matter!

Fri Apr 25, 2008 at 07:05:46 PM PDT

As an African-American, I have to say that Clyburn has been our voice in the media the past few days.  What he has been saying  to the media (NYT, WaPo, Reuters, FOX, MSNBC, CNN, etc) is what African-Americans feel which is that Hillary is trying to damage Obama so he loses to McCain so she can win in 2012, Blacks are ANGRY at the Clintons for what we perceive as racial coding, and we feel that we are being taken for granted in the Democratic party.

Check out what Clyburn said the the WaPo.  We DO matter!

WaPo: McCain's Bad Temper May Put America at Risk!

Sun Apr 20, 2008 at 04:06:05 AM PDT

There is an incredible article in today's WaPo about McCain's bad temper.  It chronicles McNasty's nastiest moments starting as a toddler until his current status as a U.S. Senator including a huge fight with a fellow Republican senator that almost came to blows.

Americans BEWARE!  You were warned!

Maureen Dowd Gives Obama Some Love!

Sat Apr 19, 2008 at 08:35:23 PM PDT

As we all know, Maureen Dowd whacked Obama in her last column as being an egghead elitist.  Although she still thinks he is, today's column she gave Obama some love...LOL!  Although she still chided him a little on what she considered his lackluster debate performance and his apparent nonchalant attitude of the possibility of being swiftboated with the Weather Underground guilt by association GOP smear, she basically said that Obama is "cool" and his learning from his mistakes.

Check it out!

Obama's Lapel Flag Pin RETURNS! (Update)

Tue Apr 15, 2008 at 12:33:34 PM PDT

(Update:  I had to delete my previous diary for I can't get the correct video for the elitist response)

I always thought this discussion of whether Obama was patriotic or not because he doesn't wear a flag pin was REALLY RIDICULOUS.  However, I always that Obama could take that stupid talking point away from the GOP if he did decide to wear a flag pin.  Well apparently Obama is!

Well here is the pic!

Obama statement about boycotting opening Olympics ceremonies in China

Wed Apr 09, 2008 at 04:41:18 PM PDT

I was wondering when Obama was going to put out a more succinct statement on whether or not to boycott the opening ceremonies of olympics in China.  Hillary came out on Monday to boycott the opening ceremonies (I have my own personal theories on why she did that that particular day but I will keep that to myself for I do applaud her on making a decision on this).

Well Obama has made a formal decision as well
